A right point over uneven reef, sheltered by the Skillion headland at the north end of Terrigal. Big winter swells from E round to S make it grind for more than 200 m, best from the east with a SW wind and mid tide; it is inconsistent. Surfers get in by jumping off the rocks at the boat harbour. Beginners in Terrigal use the sheltered south corner of the main beach instead.
