The point at the south end of Anglesea faces northeast, so SW swell bends into soft, rolling rights that suit longboards. It handles winds from WNW round to north and is cleanest at mid tide. On bigger swells a sweep runs along the point. Beginners should sit on the inside over sand, away from the rocks at the take-off.
