Barra do Una has two waves: a hollow, fast beach break in the middle and right side of the beach (looking out to sea) that works on most S to SE swells, and a long, soft river-mouth left that only starts at about 1.5 to 2 m. It faces south, so N to NE wind is offshore and even a light onshore spoils it. Weekdays are empty; weekends bring São Paulo surfers.
