Model forecast updated 20 Oct, 18:50 UTC. Hour by hour with swell direction, tide and webcams: open the live forecast.

Small waves bounce off the Pillar Point Harbor breakwater onto the sand south of the jetty, in the lee of the point that shelters it from NW wind. Half Moon Bay licenses five surf schools here because it stays smaller than the open coast; on the right SW swell a wedging right runs down the beach. At high tide the waves hit the riprap that protects Highway 1, so lessons go on lower tides.
