Inside the Grays Harbor entrance, between the jetty and the Westport marina, this crescent of sand stays clean on the south-wind winter days that wreck the open coast. The flat, shallow bottom gives a fast, hollow section or two and short barrels on the bigger north end. Watch the rip along the jetty and the rock shelf at low tide. The shallow bottom makes wipeouts hard, so learn to turn along a wave elsewhere first.
