Catanas Point surf forecast
Denque (Quicombo) · Cuanza Sul · Angola
A-frame over a rock formation at Praia do Dengue, Quicombo commune, south of Sumbe, about four hours' drive south of Cabo Ledo and 150 km north of Benguela. The left is the long ride; the right is shorter, faster and hollow. The camp in front of it calls the wave very consistent from 0.5 to 2.5 m. None of the sources gives a swell or wind direction: the coast here faces west, so the southwest groundswell that feeds Quicombo and an easterly wind are the likely setup. A Brazilian-run surf camp beside the break teaches local children.
