A 4.5 km beach west of Barwon Heads where offshore reefs break SW swell into peaks; it is often twice the size of Bells. Light NE to NNW winds groom it, best at mid tide. The Beacon, in front of the shipping beacon, is the heaviest peak. Locals learn at Ocean Grove first; here, pick a bank away from The Beacon and avoid low tide on bigger days.
