Small cove under the Joá cliffs, open to S and SE swells and offshore in N to NW wind. Sandbanks give hollow, fast peaks: tubes on the right (west) side, softer walls in the middle and the bigger lefts at the east end. It breaks on most days with any swell but gets messy above about 2.4 m. Go on a weekday at low to mid tide: the sand disappears at high tide and the lineup fills fast on weekends.
