Where the Ibiraquera lagoon meets the sea, between Praia do Rosa and Ribanceira, a south swell sets up point-style lefts of 300 m or more, with beach peaks nearby. It is best early in the morning with a north-west wind, before the afternoon breeze turns it into one of Brazil's top windsurf spots. The rips at the lagoon mouth are strong. Intermediate surfers should stay on the beach peaks when the left is on.
