Cliff-backed beach about 25 km south of Natal, below the dolphin lookout of Alta Tabatinga. It takes more swell than the Natal beaches and the waves hit harder, which is why Natal schools bring their advanced surfers here. Works on east to south-east swell with a westerly breeze, at any tide. Currents are strong, so beginners should stay at Cotovelo and come here with a coach.
