Natal's contest beach: a WSL South America qualifier ran here in November 2024, won by local Mateus Sena over Adauto Sena. Sand peaks break mostly left with a right over the reef, on east to south-east swell and light westerly wind at any tide. Since the 2025 Ponta Negra nourishment, Natal schools bring their better students here. Beginners should stay at Cotovelo and avoid the water after rain.
