Long sand beach that runs north from Playa Chinchorro toward the Lluta river mouth, with sandbar peaks both ways on most swells; a west to northwest swell and mid to high tide suit it best. The surf schools work the south end near the old pier and the Chinchorro corner (El Tubo), so weekends are busy. Learners should stay in the white water in front of the schools, away from the rips.
