First of the right points west of Playas town, Chabela breaks over rock and sand in the Humboldt area, a walk from the main beach across the little bridge. South and SW swells give long, fun walls, with tubes on 2 m days; go on a rising mid to high tide. Weekends bring the crowd from Guayaquil, and the prevailing south wind spoils it later in the day.
