Hemmies is a ledgy, hollow left over sedimentary rock at the Gran Pacífica resort, about 15 minutes by boat south of El Tránsito. The reef is bare at low tide, so it needs plenty of water: mid to high on the push, with a S swell and E offshore. More than half a dozen surfers already feels crowded, and resort guests mean there usually are. The resort charges an entry fee.
