El Coco is a long sand beach south of Playa Yankee, next to a wildlife refuge. It breaks smaller and softer than Hermosa or Yankee to the north and sees far fewer surfers, with peaks both ways on S to SW swell and the NE offshore. Mid to high tide on the push works best. Learners should stay mid-beach, away from the rocks at both ends.
