Jiquilillo is a fishing village on the Padre Ramos estuary reserve in the far northwest, with a long sandbar beachbreak breaking both ways. A SW groundswell with the NE offshore gives the best days, and the lineup is rarely more than a handful. Rips are strong along the bars, there are no lifeguards and few services, so check the channels from the beach before paddling out.
