Tairua · Waikato · New Zealand
A sand beach of about 1.5 km, facing north-east, between Paku and the northern headland. Banks give several peaks and the best wave is a right at the south end, under Paku. It needs a north-east swell and a south-west wind, at low to mid tide. As the swell rises the shore break gets heavy. It is a popular beach, so expect a busy lineup when it is on.
