Las Tunas is a black-sand fishing beach of palm-thatched ranchos and a small pier in Conchagua, with rocky beachbreaks and a river mouth that sometimes builds good sandbanks. A SW swell and a NE wind give mellow peaks both ways from 0.6 to 1.8 m. If it is flat, nearby Playa Torola has a similar setup. Watch for strong rips and dirty water at the mouth.
