Long, slow peaks break both ways over reef off Launiupoko Beach Park, south of Lahaina, and summer S swells keep it busy with learners and longboarders. Low tide exposes rocks and reef, so go on mid to high tide and wear booties. There are no lifeguards; a walled tide pool at the park keeps small kids out of the surf. Arrive early on weekends, the lot is small.
