Pipe is the main peak at Pollok Beach in Summerstrand, named after the stormwater outlet pipe that runs about 20 m into the sea. The takeoff sits on a small rock boil in front of it, with short sandbar rights and lefts, best on a pushing low to mid tide with southwest wind. Above about 2 m it turns washy and locals move to Millers. Learners use the whitewater along Pollok Beach, away from the pipe.
