The spots
Razo · beach break, beginner, best on NW/W/N swell with S/SE wind, all tides. Five kilometres of open sand with peaks everywhere and room for all; rights peel off the central rock and a south wind grooms it.
Baldaio · beach break, intermediate, best on NW/N swell with SE/S wind, all tides. Natural-park beach running east from Razo to the Baldaio lagoon, with variable peaks and some hollow sections; works at any tide.
Malpica (Area Maior) · beach break, intermediate, best on NW/N/W swell with S/SW/SE wind, low to mid tide. Main beach of the fishing town of Malpica, next to the harbour: fast peaks with hollow sections on a NW swell, often flat in summer.
Caión · beach break, intermediate, best on NW/N swell with SE/S wind, mid to high tide. Village beach beside Caión harbour with quick, rippable peaks that lean right; consistent almost all year, best on a rising tide.
