Counts as a checked bag · up to 457 cm · 45 kg · 1 board per bag. Fee: Normal checked-bag price for your fare, plus 75 USD oversize per direction if over 62 linear inches (157 cm); overweight 75 USD for 41–50 lb, 129 USD for 51–99.99 lb.
Booking: No booking step; allow an extra 30 minutes at check-in
- special-items list (revised July 2026): one item is one surfboard, one wave ski or one kiteboard
- boards over 15 ft (457 cm) or 99.9 lb (45 kg) are refused
- conflict: Frontier's main bag page says bags over 110 linear inches (279 cm) are not accepted; ask Frontier before flying a long board
- standard checked bag is only 40 lb (18 kg); a heavier board bag pays overweight fees
- fins must be wrapped in protective material
- bodyboards travel as a normal checked bag with oversize/overweight fees if they apply
