Flying with a surfboard on Maldivian
Sports fee · up to 218 cm. Fee: USD 40 to 80 (small bag) or USD 80 to 160 (large bag) one way per sector, plus GST/TGST; USD 100 oversize penalty on every sector.

- surf bags are charged as high-volume baggage: max 86 x 24 in (about 218 x 61 cm); small is 1 to 5 in thick, large 6 to 10 in thick
- any dimension over the large limits costs a USD 100 oversize penalty per sector
- only 5 large or 4 small surf bags per flight; your bag may go on an earlier or later flight, and sending it ahead as cargo adds handling and storage charges
- the surf fee does not add to your allowance; excess weight is charged per kg at the airport
- the page does not cover seaplane flights; ask the airline
