TOS, 'the other side', breaks at the south tip of South Stradbroke Island, just north of the Seaway wall, where the sand bypass pipe from The Spit dumps its sand. The banks turn swell into short, hollow wedges, best near the pipe outlet. It faces east, so it needs a westerly: early mornings and winter days. Get there by water taxi from Southport or Runaway Bay, or a long paddle.
