Siriú, just north of Garopaba, is a dune-backed beach with fast, hollow waves on east swell. At the south corner, reached by a trail from the road, the wave breaks in front of the rocks and connects to the beach, and a south wind is offshore there. The rocks at the north end block north-east wind, and a river mouth mid-beach builds another bank. Intermediate surfers should start at the river-mouth bank on small days.
