Thick peak over sand and reef at Playa Los Tubos, about 30 minutes west of San Juan, with a paddling channel beside it. It goes both ways but favours the left: a blind, ledging drop into a barrel, then open faces, on WNW to NNE swell from head high up. Mid to high tide is preferred, and the paddle out goes left of the break to keep clear of the urchins.
