Spread-out reef peaks in Parque del Escambrón, just east of Old San Juan; the name comes from Stop 8 on the bus line. A long, soft right off the island reef needs a 12 to 15 minute paddle back, while the left is shorter and sometimes hollow. NW to NE swell with a south wind, best in the morning before the trades. Sneaker sets land outside because the bottom drops off fast.
