Powerful Outer Banks sandbar at the north end of Rodanthe, named for the bends Highway 12 used to make here. Takes south windswells, tropical swells and nor'easters, cleaning up on a SW to W wind; the tide that works depends on the sand. Since the Jug Handle bridge opened in 2022, parking at the break is very limited.
