Bay of Plenty sits between North Beach and Snake Park on Durban's beachfront, with a groyne pier that surfers jump off between sets. Below about 1.2 m it is a fun turning wave; bigger south to southwest swells with west wind bring low-tide barrels, so sit deep and call your wave. The mood is calmer than at New Pier. Beginners can use the inside on small days, well away from the pier.
