Jaconé runs east from the Ponta Negra headland toward Saquarema; the peak is its right-hand (west) corner by the rocks. It faces SSE, so S and SE swells hit it square while the headland blocks most WSW swell; N to NE wind is offshore. FESERJ moved the 2022 Maricá Surf Pro/Am juniors here when Ponta Negra went flat: heavy surf, strong current, peaks both ways. Learners: skip big days, keep clear of the corner rocks.
