Nine kilometres south of town on the BA-001, then a 20 to 30 minute trail down through the forest, Jeribucaçu is a horseshoe beach where a river meets the sea. Peaks run both ways over sand on any east to southeast swell, best with a west wind and a rising tide. On small days the waves crumble and suit improvers; use the paddling channel at the south end and keep clear of the river current.
