The last town beach south of Tiririca and Costa, Ribeira is a forest-backed cove with smaller, softer waves than its neighbours. Any east to southeast swell gives small peaks both ways over sand, cleanest with a west wind. A creek forms a freshwater pool at one end and the Prainha trail starts here. Learn in the middle of the cove, away from the rocks at either end.
