Left point over coral on Route 1 just outside Patillas, one of the few south-coast waves for summer. It needs ESE to SSE swell, usually from a tropical storm passing south of the island, and then runs about 100 m with barrel sections and a channel alongside. A nearby mountain bends the trades offshore; the inside gets very shallow, as the name warns.
