A small sandy cove between granite boulders just north of Camps Bay, Glen Beach takes west and southwest swell and cleans up in east to southeast wind, so get it early before the southeaster blows hard. Low to rising mid tide works. Rights come off the rocks, and on a rising tide a quieter peak forms on the far side of them. Beginners are better off at Muizenberg; the rocks here sit close to the takeoff.
