Riviera de São Lourenço is a 4.5 km SSE-facing beach with three set peaks: the pier corner on the right (looking out to sea), the middle by module 2 and the São Lourenço corner by module 8. The pier corner takes E, SE and big S swell and can reach 2.5 m far out. NW to W wind is offshore. Beginners should take a lesson in the quieter middle, which surf schools and lifeguards use, and stay clear of the pier.
